WORLDS END 100 - June 19 2022

Worlds End 100 image

Might Be A Bit Chilly!

You may have thought all the hard running terrain along the Heysen Trail was close to being exhausted. Well, that couldn't be further from the truth!

Little-known Burra Creek Gorge Reserve is the scene of the finish for this event for runners who tackle this arduous section from the Hallett area.

And as if the terrain isn't hard enough, the time of year has been chosen to add to the challenge. This is one event sure to not disappoint!

Some background!

The Inspiration

The mid-north of SA is an historic part of the state, with 19th century stories of extreme hardship, tenacity, tragedy, and triumph.

Explorer Sir Hubert Wilkins was born in this area. And the classic album cover of Midnight Oil's Diesel and Dust highlighted the area's hardships.

All a perfect backdrop for trail runners!
